Since a Reservation on Benson can only have one Rate Type and one set of Arrival and Departure Dates, there might be a time when you need to Split a Reservation into multiple reservations. This could be due to one room staying longer or another room wanting to change to a different Rate Type.
The option to Split a Reservation will only appear on a Reservation with more than one Room.
Click ‘SPLIT RESERVATION’ to start the process of splitting a reservation into two separate reservations. Select the Rooms that you wish to split out of the current reservation into a new one. Click ‘NEXT’.
On the next page you will be asked to “Please select the charges you would like to Move to the new Reservation. Pending Accommodation Charges for the rooms being moved will automatically be moved as well.” Once you have selected any Charges that you wish to move, click ‘CONFIRM’.
A confirmation will appear quoting the new Reservation Number of the reservation that has just been created.
If the two Reservations are still related but were simply split to allow for different dates or Rate Types, then don’t forget to Link the Reservations so that they don’t get lost from one another.
